Taita Juan

Taita Juan Bautista Agreda Chindoy is a traditional healer from the Kamentsa indigenous community of the Sibundoy Valley, Alto Putumayo, Colombia. He is a life-long practitioner of yagé shamanism, who is recognized both within and beyond his native Colombia as an experienced traditional healer and an indigenous authority. He brings over 30 years of experience of working with yagé and other medicinal plants. In addition to being a gifted healer, he is known for his warmth, good humor, and leadership within his community, having been elected governor on two occasions.
